Privacy Policy

In providing the LogLife app (the “App”), we may collect the following information.

• Account information (email address, user name, Firebase authentication ID)
• Activity log data (the title, category, and time of tasks entered by the user, and the aggregated values derived from them)
• Location information (latitude/longitude and places of stay, including collection in the background)^*1
• Motion and fitness data (movement data obtained from device sensors)^*1
• Health data (sleep, heart rate, workouts, time spent in daylight, and blood glucose obtained from Apple HealthKit)^*1
• Calendar events (the title, start time, end time, location, and description of events obtained from Google Calendar)^*1
• Information obtained from connected services (Slack message timestamps^*2, Notion page update timestamps^*2, GitHub repository names and event timestamps^*2, Oura Ring sleep, stress, and activity data, Omi conversation summaries (title, overview, and category only; we do not store full conversation transcripts), desktop app usage, and similar data, where the user has authorized the connection)^*1
• Device information (OS, device model, app version, device identifier (IDFV))
• Install identifier (an anonymous random identifier generated within the App. It is used to measure which screens are reached before account registration, and is not used to identify individuals or for advertising purposes)
• OS permission status (the granted/denied status of location, motion, health, and notification permissions and the history of changes to them, for the purpose of supporting initial setup and investigating issues)
• Usage data (frequency of app use, usage of features)
• Push notification token (issued through Firebase Cloud Messaging)
• Subscription status (billing status and purchase events obtained through Apple StoreKit)

*1 Collected only where the user has expressly granted permission.

*2 For the Slack, Notion, and GitHub connections, we use only the information required to generate the activity log timeline (for Slack, the time a message was sent; for Notion, the time a page was updated; for GitHub, the repository name and the time of events such as pushes). We neither store the body of messages, the content of page edits, or code on our servers, nor analyze or otherwise process such content.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes.

• Providing, maintaining, and improving the App
• Generating timelines, pie charts, and weekly/monthly reports
• AI inference features (automatic entry of activity logs, categorization of tasks, and generation of report summaries)
• Providing user support
• Analyzing how the App is used and preventing misuse
• Sending push notifications about new features and updates

The App may read sleep, heart rate, workout, time spent in daylight, and blood glucose data from Apple HealthKit on a read-only basis. In accordance with Apple’s guidelines, our handling of HealthKit data is limited as follows.

• Data obtained from HealthKit is used solely to provide the health and activity log features of the App, such as detecting sleep periods, automatically estimating the daily activity timeline, and displaying in-app status (condition score)
• Data obtained from HealthKit is never used for advertising or marketing purposes
• Data obtained from HealthKit is never sold, transferred, or shared with third parties
• Users may revoke HealthKit access permission at any time from the iOS Settings app

If the user selects “Always” in the iOS location settings, the App collects location information even while the App is in the background.

Location information is used only for the following purposes.

• Automatically detecting places of stay and recording them in the activity log
• Evaluating “place rules” configured by the user (automatic task triggers at specific locations)
• Generating the daily timeline by distinguishing between movement and stays

The location information we collect is stored on the servers of the App, but it is not used for advertising purposes and is not provided to third parties. Users may revoke location access permission at any time from the iOS Settings app.

In order to provide the service, the App provides data to (including storage and processing by) the following third-party services. The data provided is limited to what is necessary to deliver and analyze the features of the App.

• Google Cloud Platform / Firebase: Firebase Authentication (authentication), Cloud Firestore (database), Cloud Messaging (push notifications), Cloud Functions (server-side processing)
• Google Workspace (Spreadsheets and similar): storage of internal monitoring aggregates used to operate the service (display names and aggregated usage figures)
• Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In: login authentication
• Anthropic Claude API / Google Gemini API / OpenAI API: text processing for AI inference, report summarization, and rule generation
• Apple StoreKit / App Store Connect: subscription billing
• Vercel: hosting of the application server

We may also obtain information from external services that the user has authorized us to connect to (Calendar, Slack, Notion, GitHub, Oura, Omi, and similar services). The App does not provide the user’s personal information to these services.

These third-party services handle data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

In addition to the above, we may provide personal information to third parties in the following cases.

• Where the user has consented
• Where disclosure is required under applicable laws and regulations
• Where it is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person

Outsourcing: We may outsource part of our operations, such as server operation and development, to third parties to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. We select and supervise such contractors appropriately and prohibit any use beyond the scope of the outsourced work.

Joint use: We do not jointly use users’ personal information with third parties.

In order to provide Google account login and the Google Calendar connection, the App accesses the user’s Google data through Google APIs. Our collection, use, storage, and sharing of user data obtained from Google complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The scopes the App requests, together with their purpose and the data obtained, are as follows.

In accordance with the Limited Use requirements, our handling of the Google user data we obtain is limited as follows.

• It is used solely to provide the user-facing features described above (login authentication and automatic generation of the timeline)
• It is never used for advertising or marketing purposes
• Google user data is not used to develop, train, or improve generalized AI or machine learning models. The AI processing used to generate the timeline is limited to inference carried out to provide the feature to that user at that time
• Except for the infrastructure necessary to provide the service (Google Cloud Platform / Firebase and similar), Google user data is never sold, transferred, or shared with third parties
• Humans do not read Google user data, except (a) with the user’s express consent, (b) where necessary for security purposes such as investigating misuse, (c) where necessary to comply with applicable law, or (d) where the data has been aggregated so that individuals cannot be identified
• Users may revoke the App’s access at any time from their Google account security settings

In order to provide the AI inference features of the App (automatic entry of activity logs, categorization, report summarization, and similar features), we may send the following data to the large language model (LLM) APIs provided by Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI.

• The title, category, and time of tasks
• Daily or weekly aggregates (time allocation, totals by category, and similar figures)
• The names of places where the user stayed (stations and stores, as well as the names and categories of registered place rules)
• Latitude and longitude
• Positioning accuracy
• Health data obtained from Apple HealthKit (the times of sleep periods, heart rate aggregates by time of day, and similar data)
• Condition data obtained from Oura Ring (where connected; sleep, stress, and activity metrics)
• Activity states estimated from motion and accelerometer sensors
• Calendar events and activity timestamps from connected services (the time Slack messages were sent, the time Notion pages were updated, the time of GitHub events, Mac app usage, and similar data)^*2
• Custom rules configured by the user

We do not send authentication credentials to LLM APIs. LLM providers handle data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

None of the data collected by the App is used for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not collect tracking IDs or advertising identifiers, and we do not provide data to third-party advertising networks.

We take the following measures to protect user data.

• Communication between the client and the server is encrypted with HTTPS
• Access control based on Firebase authentication tokens
• Server-side security rules (Firestore Security Rules and similar)

User data is stored on servers protected by security measures (Firebase / Google Cloud Platform and Vercel). If an account is deleted, all related data, including data obtained from Google, is deleted within 30 days of the deletion request.

Event data obtained from Google Calendar is used to generate the timeline, and the resulting activity logs are stored in association with the user’s account. Google user data is retained only for the period necessary to provide this feature, until the user disconnects the integration or deletes their account.

We retain user data only for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of use, or for the period required under applicable laws and regulations. Retention periods are determined taking into account the nature of the data, the purpose of use, and legal and operational retention requirements.

For quality improvement and issue investigation, we retain processing records of the AI inference features (input signals, the instructions sent to the AI, the AI’s responses, and similar records) for up to 30 days, and our personnel may review them. These records do not include the body or title of events or messages obtained directly from external services.

Users may request deletion of their account and related data at any time using the “Delete account” function within the App.

Users have the following rights.

• Access to data: Users can review the data collected about them within the App
• Deletion of data: Users may request deletion of their account and related data at any time using the “Delete account” function within the App
• Revoking permissions: Users may revoke access to location, HealthKit, motion data, and push notifications at any time from the iOS Settings app

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected in error, we will delete it promptly.

We may change this policy as necessary. If we make changes, we will provide notice within the App or on this page.
